Some background info:
The Joy Formidable is a three-piece Art rock/Indie pop band formed in 2007 from North Wales, currently located in London, England. Their music has been described as "primal epic grunge rock รก la The Breeders, Arcade fire and Yeah Yeah Yeahs" and they were cited by The Guardian as "one to watch" in 2008.
The band consists of:
Ritzy Bryan- Lead vocals, guitar
Rhydian Dafydd- Backing vocals, bass
Matt Thomas- Drums

The band's sixth single Popinjay was released through iTunes Store on 21 February 2010, ahead of a physical release on 5 April 2010, to trail the band's as-yet-untitled full debut album.

Sidecar Kisses
Ritzy Bryan and Rhydian Dafydd originally played together as part of new wave/post-punk band Sidecar Kisses before the band's dissipation. They regrouped on returning to Mold, Wales and formed The Joy Formidable, with Justin Stahley previously on drums, in 2007.
