Some background info:
The Joy Formidable is a three-piece Art rock/Indie pop band formed in 2007 from North Wales, currently located in London, England. Their music has been described as "primal epic grunge rock á la The Breeders, Arcade fire and Yeah Yeah Yeahs" and they were cited by The Guardian as "one to watch" in 2008.
The band consists of:
Ritzy Bryan- Lead vocals, guitar
Rhydian Dafydd- Backing vocals, bass
Matt Thomas- Drums

The band's sixth single Popinjay was released through iTunes Store on 21 February 2010, ahead of a physical release on 5 April 2010, to trail the band's as-yet-untitled full debut album.

Sidecar Kisses

Ritzy Bryan and Rhydian Dafydd originally played together as part of new wave/post-punk band Sidecar Kisses before the band's dissipation. They regrouped on returning to Mold, Wales and formed The Joy Formidable, with Justin Stahley previously on drums, in 2007.
