Vampire Weekend

Vampire weekend is a four-piece afrobeat-influenced American indie rock band formed in 2006 from New York City.
The band attained attention via a mixed bag of blogs, such as Stereogum. The band claims to be influenced by both African popular music and Western classical music, characterising their genre of music as "Upper West Side Soweto", which songs such as Cape Cod Kwassa Kwassa referencing Congolese soukous music.
The band consists of:
Ezra Koenig- Lead vocals, guitar
Rostam Batmanglij- Keyboards, guitar, backing vocals
Chris Tomson- Drums, percussion, guitar
Chris Baio- Bass guitar, backing vocals

In February 2010, the band released this video for their latest single Giving Up the Gun.
The video included cameos from Joe Jonas, Lil Jon, RZA and Jake Gyllenhaal.
